[edit] Carbs
There are two kinds of carbohydrates -- simple and complex. While it certainly is true that we should avoid the first, complex carbohydrates are essential.
[edit] Protein
Non-animal sources of protein are plentiful; Quinoa, goji berries and soy contain all the essential amino acids making up a complete protein. The Worid Health Organization has established a minimum daily requirement for protein to be approximately 5 percent of daily calorie intake.
[edit] Calcium
[edit] Soy
[edit] Pregnancy and infants
Due to misinformation many people assume that pregnant women, infant and children cannot thrive on a vegan diet.
